(WITH MB DS NIZAR, DATIN AND DOROTHY DAP AFTER JLN DUTA AT A HOTEL)
Nizar declares May 7 assembly invalid, suspends state sec, reverses BN's decisions Holding on to the court decision that he was at all material times Menteri Besar, Nizar declared that the appointment of Datuk R. Ganesan as Speaker replacing Pakatan’s V. Sivakumar was "unconstitutional."

Nizar came to these decisions after chairing a Pakatan Rakyat “Exco” meeting at 10pm last night. The meeting agreed to suspend State Secretary Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Hashim and State Legal Adviser Datuk Ahmad Kamal Md Shahid with immediate effect, citing their poor cooperation and lack of neutrality as reasons. State Financial Officer Datuk Jamaluddin Al-Amini has been made acting State Secretary. “During Pakatan Rakyat’s 10 months in power, these two personalities acted in a way deemed not in the interest of people,” Nizar told a media conference three hours later.

Nizar said the Pakatan Exco will report for duty at 7.15am today and another decision to be carried out is to submit a letter to the Sultan of Perak, seeking an appointment for an audience to propose the dissolution of state assembly to clear the way for fresh state elections.Another Barisan Nasional policy that will be reversed is to reappoint all 817 Village and Community chairmen sacked. Also reappointed are the 318 Pakatan Municipal Council members expelled by Zambry.

The Pakatan Exco will also continue with their previous policies of issuing land titles and converting leasehold titles into freeholds, he said. However, Nizar pledged that the Pakatan Perak Government will maintain any Barisan policies and decisions that have been “good to the people.”
