Three days have been scheduled for the debate and winding up of the mini budget, which is also the second economic stimulus package.
The tabling of the mini budget encompassing fiscal, monetary and other measures,
will be after the debate on the Royal Address.
“Details of the mini budget, deemed as the highlight of this Parliament meeting, are not known,’’ said Nazri.
The Parliament meeting will start with the Yang di-Pertuan Agung giving his royal address in the Dewan Rakyat on Feb 16.
Papar MP Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rahis Shirlin will deliver the motion of thanks for the royal address, with Kampar MP Datuk Lee Chee Leong seconding it.
The second day will see newly-elected Kuala Terengganu MP Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut taking his oath of office which will raise the number of opposition MPs by one, to 82.
He won the by-election held following the death of the late Deputy Education Minister Datuk Razali Ismail on Nov 28 last year.
Bills listed to be debated in this meeting include the Witness Protection Bill and Judges’ Ethics Committee Bill, where the first reading was last December.
Nazri also said the Special Complaints Commission Bill, which originated from the proposed Independent Police Complaint and Misconduct Commission Bill, was also expected to be tabled at this meeting.
Asked whether the two impending by-elections would affect the sitting, Nazri said it would be business as usual, and added: “This is not something that has never happened before.’’
